After an exhausting day of waiting in lines and sweating up a storm DURING a storm... I am finally ON BOARD! I got on almost last today because of my last name... thanks mom... but nonetheless I am finally in my home for the next two months. I have literally almost found myself in tears a few times since I've been on the ship just because I am soooo happy. My roommate is awesome!!! It is such an answered prayer. Her name is Amanda and she is from Colorado. The room is extremely tiny and so is our bathroom! I'm in room 3091... but it probably took me a good 45 minutes just to find my room. The layout of the ship is soooo incredibly confusing. Everyone is walking around completely lost. I am feeling slightly queezy... so I put on my sea sick patch.. we'll see what that does. Apparently you can't put it on and then touch your eyes because it will dialate your eyes for 12 hours. So... in 25 minutes we have out first life boat drill. My email is all set up now for anyone who wants to email me... it's layoung@semesteratsea.net. I have access to it from my room so I'll be checking it often! I can't wait to start sailing! I am going to unpack my stuff and hang my magnets on my magnetic walls and start this crazy adventure. Oh and my hallmates are extremely awesome. I actually am right next door to one of the girls that I stayed with in my hotel room. We were pretty excited about that. I can't wait to see you all soon! I hope that you are all doing well!
