After an exhausting day yesterday with a 12 hour orientation, it is finally time for me to start my classes. My first class is World Theater, then I have Global Studies and lastly I have Race, Class and Gender. Last night the students broke into groups and discussed a book that we had to read. Our group met on the outside deck and watched the sunset as we were discussing the information. It was the neatest thing that I have done for a class in a really long time.
The ship is still very rocky. As I am typing this I feel like a pendulum swinging back and forth. The good news is that I'm no longer sick! Almost all of the students are walking zombies because we are all taking sea-sick medicine that makes you sleepy. It is funny to watch people try to stay awake during class. I am very ready to get to Spain... but we still have 7 more days on the ocean.
The stars are beautiful out here. It is so pitch black that you can see them for miles. It reminds me how amazing God is!! I have so much homework to do already so I apologize if my updates aren't as frequent as the past.
